Fireplaces & Mantles
If the fireplace is gas or electric, the client should begin finalizing the fireplace selection during the framing process. Decide how your fireplace will be used -- Will it be used for pleasure? Will it be used to heat your house? Will it be used to heat a particular room? These questions will determine the size, style, and cost of your fireplace. When considering wood burning stoves, we feel you should consider a masonry chimney. To enhance the look of your fireplace, consider choosing ceramic tile, granite, marble, or stone facing. There are many different styles of mantles - as complex as wood surrounds or as simple as a one piece mantle. You have endless options for design and style. Facing and mantle selections should be finalized by the start of wallcoverings.
